The Bulldogs rebounded from a home loss to Tennessee State, using stifling defense to shutdown Auburn University at Montgomery 62-24, Tuesday night at the Pete Hanna Center.

Senior forward Hannah Dawson led the team in scoring (11) and rebounding (8), while junior center Christy Robinson blocked five shots.

Samford women's basketball opened the season at Florida State Sunday, and now prepares to travel to Jacksonville State Monday, and host a tournament on Thanksgiving weekend.

The Samford women's basketball team defeated Montevallo 49-45 Monday in an exhibition game, before opening the regular season at Florida State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
