Samford takes SoCon tournament championship

The Samford volleyball team claimed its first Southern Conference tournament championship, defeating the College of Charleston 3-0. The Bulldogs hosted the three-day tournament at the Pete Hanna Center on the Samford campus.

Samford's Pat Sullivan honored by Auburn; Tigers defeat Bulldogs 35-16

 Samford fell to the Auburn Tigers 35-16 in the season finale for the Bulldogs. Samford trailed Auburn 21-16 in the 4th quarter before two late scores sealed the win for the Tigers.

Prior to the game, Samford head coach Pat Sullivan was honored by Auburn, where he won the Heisman Trophy as quarterback in 1971. Auburn public address announcer Ric Smith:
