Special edition of Samford Sports Weekly tonight

Join us tonight (Tuesday) from 5-6 pm for a special Samford Sports Weekly, live from Samford FanFest. Mike Grace will be broadcasting from Seibert Stadium, talking with head football coach Pat Sullivan, soccer's Todd Yelton and volleyball's Dex Schroeder. Also, Mike will get the scoop on FSU tailgating from alumni director David Goodwin, and a big announcement on new athletics facilities from Director of Athletics Bob Roller.

NorthStar Soccer

WVSU's report on the NorthStar Soccer program is a finalist in the National Student Production Awards as best radio documentary. The segment was written and produced for Spotlight Samford by junior journalism and mass communication major Lauren Womack, along with reporters Jordan Gotfredson (sophomore-JMC and soccer) and Anthony Bolus (pharmacy).

The NorthStar Soccer Club is directed by Samford alumna and former soccer player Val Kikkert, and is a component of NorthStar Youth Ministries. The current SU soccer team frequently volunteers in working with the children.
